2003 Unity Awards Show Highlights
was held Sunday, October 12, 2003 at 4 PM
Apostolate for Family Consecration
in Bloomingdale, Ohio
  • First time to be held at the Catholic Familyland Theater at the Apostolate for Family Consecration.
  • The Apostolate for Family Consecration (Familyland TV) is going to broadcast via dish the Awards ceremony during the week after the show (10/13 - 10/20). Please visit www.familyland.org for more details on date, time and what station to watch the show on.
  • Sacred Heart Radio broadcasted the show live on the internet at www.sacredheartradio.net. Pre-show program began at 3 pm.
  • Special Guests - Howie D. (from the Backstreet Boys) and Joan Roberts presented the Inspirational Awards this year.
  • Special Performance by Rick Elias (from a "Ragamuffin" band)
  • Post-show reception provided an opportunity to meet the MCs, performers, award recipients, and Inspirational Award recipients

Movies have the Oscars, TV has the Emmy's, Broadway has the Tony Awards, and at last - long overdue - Catholics have THE UNITY AWARDS! The fourth annual Unity Awards will be held at the Catholic Family Land Theater at the Apostolate for Family Consecration in Bloomingdale, Ohio on Sunday, October 12, 2003. Voting will be made by the UCMVA members, and will acknowledge top albums, artists, videos, songs, and groups.

This year we will be staying at the Holiday Inn and Hampton Inn located in Steubenville, Ohio. The UCMVA has reserved a limited number of rooms at these two hotels. This is where most of the artists and award ceremony participants will be staying. If you are interested in staying at these hotels, please submit your reservation with your credit card number to the UCMVA by August 15.
